Meet Our Panelists

DIANE MAGNETTE

FOUNDER- LOVE INFINITY FOR ALL

Diane (pronounced Deanne) is the founder of Love Infinity For All, a jewelry company whose mission is to start a conversation about the far too silent impact of mental illness. Every piece is handmade in Los Angeles and donates 15% to local mental health charities.
Diane is originally from Brussels, Belgium. She has also lived in Germany and Switzerland. After graduating from college she moved to Los Angeles, with only $100 and not knowing a word of English. Though she is known for being an advocate for mental health she also is a successful yoga teacher. After a couple of years of hard work and earning a second degree, she discovered yoga and it's numerous health benefits. That's when she decided that teaching Yoga was what she wanted to do. Diane holds a 500 RYT certification and has been teaching Yoga for 10 years as well as anatomy for numerous Yoga teacher trainings in Los Angeles for 5 years. Though her teaching has helped people experience life through a different lens, she had been yearning for a way to help people on a bigger scale. Creating Love Infinity For All is fulfilling her need to impact the world and change it for a better more compassionate future.

Jesenia

CO-FOUNDER- SIESTAS FOR FIESTAS

We are Chris and Jesenia, a husband and wife team from Los Angeles. In 2015 we relocated to Cancun, Mexico. Upon our arrival, we were blessed to meet Pastor Arturo and his congregation at Fe, Amor y Esperanza. He shared with us an especially personal and heartfelt mission; the church’s ongoing Christmas project to feed families living in poverty. We were inspired by his heart for this project and began brainstorming ideas on how we could help. We came up with the idea of creating festive beach blankets using the region’s soft and charming textiles. Behind the beauty and purpose of these delightful blankets is an even more gracious cause inspired by kindheartedness embodied by Fe, Amor y Esperanza.

RACHEL PARKER- CHAVEZ

SOCIAL GOOD STRATEGIST & FOUNDER- DEFINING GOOD

Rachael Parker-Chavez is a Social Good Strategist and the Founder of Defining: good, which exists to inspire and equip entrepreneurs to generate positive impact through business.  She helps business owners create purpose-filled brands and authentic cause partnerships; working with business owners one-one-one, in group workshops and through digital tools and resources. She also shares advice and encouragement as the host of ‘Good Matters,’ a show dedicated to building businesses that make the world better.. Rachael lives in LA with her husband and three furry kids, where she enjoys being outdoors, listening to people’s stories and using far too many emojis.

About

We’re opening our doors to the cream of the crop and you’re invited.

You’re an amazing full stack developer, and we’re an amazing place to work. It’s time to take this conversation offline and finally meet up.

Join us for rooftop cocktails, canapés and conversations with senior leaders from the Grand Firms tech team – a fine group of 37 brilliant engineers bound by one mission: To change the world through democratic design.

Shannon Westfall is a wine geek—the kind that obsesses over specific vineyard sites, asks winemakers about their ‘oak program’ and relishes the story behind every bottle. She fell in love with wine nearly a decade ago, on a vacation to Napa and Sonoma. When Shannon ventured off the main drag and away from the big commercial tasting rooms, she discovered where the real magic happens: in small, independent wineries.

After many years as an amateur oenophile, Shannon became a certified sommelier and a wine educator. She believes that every bottle tells a story—it’s a tale of who made it, where it’s from, and who you choose to share it with. Shannon stands firm that the best wines are handcrafted in small lots by winemakers who view wine as an art form, not a product. Additionally, Shannon is a California Sustainable Winegrowing Ambassador, as she believes that wine can delight your palate without hurting the planet. When Shannon founded Vinfluence in early 2016 she joined her passion for fine wine with her desire to make a difference.
